Bristol Access to Music Print Design
A poster to promote a new music gig – part of Bristol Access to Music
My brother has lived with a guitar practically glued to his side since he received his first acoustic for his 8th birthday, so I had great pleasure in designing and creating a poster to help promote his first gig. Having a bit more creative freedom lead to a slightly more subtle outcome than I normally produce in my day job – rather than focusing on the obvious theme of music, I instead used our surname (Jay) as a creative base, so the creature perched on the the guitar is a Jay bird (for the non-twitchers who didn’t recognise it). I always love doing a bit of design for print as it always has a different outcome compared to when I’m designing something for the web.
